Day 188 – Late autumn

In the past few weeks I have stopped posting constantly my everyday photos, but I have managed to take a photo everyday to continue the project but without posting them. There are lot of reasons why I couldn’t do that mostly involving work and some health issues. I won’t go into details, but I hope that now the things will go back the way they were before since I have uploaded in batches the missing pieces. I feel that I have somehow cheated the project, but sometimes in life things show up and you have to prioritise on the fly and this is what I did. Also, my blog has some authentication problems which I need to fix, but I will update the flickr stream until it gets fixed. The next period will be busy too, but I will make more time for photography, and specially editing. Actually I am starting a PS course next week, and I hope won’t take long until my photos will be better processed.
Going back to the today’s story, I tried to make it very close to how I see the atmosphere right now: late autumn, foggy, and deserted.

See you tomorrow!

Day 56 – After the rain

Long day today. After my girlfriend went to Bucharest since she is starting work tomorrow, I started heading back to my hometown. I still have one more day of vacation. Before going on the road, I looked at the surroundings on the map and I saw that there are some unexplored teritories by me in the area where I was passing by. More exactly Magura and Pestera, two villages that are very famous for their wild landscapes. So I headed towards them and of course the road quickly transformed into offroad. Firstly I have arrived at Magura and quicly after that to Pestera monastary, which is hidden in the mountains. There I took some pictures, even get up on a hill but I headed back to my car quickly because a huge storm was coming towards me. I continued my trip to the Pestera village which was several kilometers away. It started to rain and then the rain transformed in a heavy storm. The road was wet and muddy and I was forced to pull on the side and wait an hour for the storm to pass. The sun quickly showed up and suddenly the weather changed like there was no storm and I could continue my trip. On my way I stopped several times and discovered some really nice places for both photography and mountain biking. I will definetly come again and stay more than one day to have time to explore more. The time passed very quickly and the sun started to fade. My last stop was on the main road, where I spotted for that was raising up through the mountains. The colours were warm and dim and the atmosphere was clear. Grabbed my tripod, mounted my tele on the camera and started to shoot for like an hour or so. I have many versions of this sunset with the fog, but I can show you only one frame here on this blog post. Since I am at my old house, I have a bad computer (my old one, 7 years old) and I cannot use it properly for editing. So after I will arrive back to Bucharest where I have all my tools, I promice I will upload more photos to my photostream on flickr from today.
Have a good light!

Day 31 – Rainy mood

Summer rainy days are ahead. This is a little bad since they ruin my plans for getting out with my moutnain bike. But let’s use this time doing things inhouse like learning or just rest.

This picture is edited with Snapseed and as you can see, it can add some pretty cool effects to the picture.

Oh, and I just realised that there is 1 month since I started the project and I am very happy that I could manage it quite good so far! I also want to thank Mihai Boangher, who inspired me to start this project. He also started his 365 project the same day I did, and you can check out his work on his blog: 365fujix-e1.blogspot.com.

See you tomorrow!

Day 23 – Rainy day

After getting out from a meeting, I was amazed about how it started to rain. Actually, it was a really big storm that hit the city. Good that I had my camera with me and coud take a picture of that. Being at work, I don’t have my personal computer with me, so the processing is done with Snapseed, on my iPad. I applied some BW and some film effects that looks pretty okay. Hope you enjoy it!

Day 5 – After the rain

Today was a rainy day. Since I had to go back to the countryside for family reasons, I spent most of the time in the house. Luckily, in the evening the rain stopped, the sun appeared between the clouds and over the hills the fog started to raise. The view was beautiful and the air smelled nice and clean.

See you tomorrow!
